Craw[ford] Gumbo #87

  • As much as I would love to continue adding pictures from the past month catch-up style, my camera is in my purse, which is about 65 miles away at the house where we attended a party last night.  Oops.  I wish I could blame it on having "too much fun," but alas, I was just stupid.
  • If you've read here for any length of time, you probably know that my least favorite thing in life is feeling stupid.  *sigh*
  • We're passing around an upper respiratory virus. I got called to pick up JTC from school on Wednesday with a low fever.  It peaked around 102, and now he just has a cough.  AJC is also coughing.  I'm in full-blown sinus infection mode this morning.  Boo.
  • Bryan gets to go to the Cowboy game today.  Also attending in the same group: my senior Homecoming date.  (He's a lawyer at Bryan's client.)
  • My mom came up last weekend while Bryan was at his annual Charity Youth Hunt.  It was such a huge help to have her here.
  • Pics to come, but I had my annual niece date with Sydnee last weekend.  We went and saw The Grinch at the Winspear in downtown Dallas.
  • After the show, we came back to my house and quickly accumulated Tara/Hannah/Autumn and Granny/Charlie/Luke. We had a fun night of all of the cousins playing and decorating Christmas cookies.
  • On Monday morning, Granny and I took the boys to Northpark with Becky/Reid to see Santa and the train exhibit.  We didn't bother getting 1:1 time with Santa (even arriving at 10:00, our number in line was expected to see Santa after 2:00), but we really enjoyed Santa's story time and the trains.
  • I saw Jennifer Cantwell Leedy (my pledge sister) there.  I really love seeing friends and their kids after all of these years.  She looked fabulous, and her kids were adorable.  What a treat!
  • Friday was Granny, Tara, Javier and Kimba's birthday!  Tara and I managed to sneak out for burgers and to see The Tourist with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.  I thought it was good but not great.  With lesser actors, it would have been boring.
  • I am (hopefully) only working one day this week then taking vacation until 1/3!  Lots of fun Christmas celebrations ahead.
  • Now if only I can kick the sinus infection. I know I'm not supposed to take antibiotics at every turn, but I'd rather nip this in the bud with the fun things ahead.
