Last weekend was really too much fun. Is that possible? I probably could have done with more sleep (ok, that would be GREAT), but I'll take it. I'm pretty sure this is what Bryan had in mind when he requested a non-pregnant, non-nursing wife for a while. =)
Friday night after work, we met for dinner at Cantina Laredo before heading to the Daycare Festival. I love Cantina Laredo. We can get out of there on one tableside guacamole and fajitas for one and nearly have leftovers. We make JTC black bean burritos and give AJC little bits of everything. You've already seen the pictures from the carnival.
Saturday, Bryan took JTC to work with him for a while before we took the boys out to Tara's for the night. By 2:00 we were off to Lubbock on "Dad's plane" (not really our plane, but whatever) for the A&M vs. Texas Tech game with Dad/Pat and Rory/Kiesa. Cody was waiting at the airport for us to drive us to campus. He dropped us off (Dad/Pat were taking him out to eat, etc) so we could go tailgate with Andy and LauraE. The weather was perfect, the beer was cold, and it was a college football Saturday. Ahhhhhh.
I think the line on this game was Tech by 21 or 22, but the Aggies took an early lead and held on to it the whole game. Final score: Aggies 52 - Tech 30. Whoop! What a game to go to!
When it became obvious the game was pretty much over, we met everyone outside the stadium where Cody had managed to get his car within about 20 yards of the gate. What service! Back to the airport for the hour flight home, and we were home in bed by 1:00 a.m. Definitely the way to go!
After picking up the boys Sunday morning, Bryan took JTC to the gun show for a while during AJC's nap before meeting us for our annual Pumpkin Patch visit with Katie/Mark/Charlie/Luke and Dad/Pat. It was crowded but not as bad as last year. All of the kids loved climbing on the hay and going in the "jail." We also got them all on the tractor train this year! (JTC was terrified last year.)

Awesome pictures! I can't believe how big AJC looks all of a sudden. He's definitely a toddler now! Glad you guys had a great weekend. And what a way to travel to a football game. So your dad's a pilot? We've been rained out of our pumpkin patch the last two weekends, so we'll try again on Sunday. Hope we have as much fun as you did!
Sounds like an awesome awesome weekend. Any weekend where you take a private plane to a football game could not be a bad weekend.
If you want, send me the pic of JTC in the pumpkins and AJC in front of the hay for editing playing around!
You picked the perfect game to attend - I'm so glad you were able to be there! Sounds like a fabulous weekend. :)
Great pictures! AJC is growing up too fast to suit his Granny :(
Looks like it was a great weekend! Loved the pictures!
From Becky J: Wow, looks like such a fun-filled weekend! The boys look super CUTE in their costumes. Funny because Reid is a lion this Halloween as well, and he has a very similar costume to AJC (especially the hooded part!). : )
